We regret to announce a change in programming for tomorrow’s virtual meeting, as Jim Kaat has had to postpone. We look forward to rescheduling a future appearance soon. Meanwhile, we plan to proceed with our virtual gathering at 11:00.

Jim Kaat was born in Zeeland, Mich., and pitched for Hope College before embarking on a 25-year major league career, followed by a successful broadcasting career. He was one of six players elected by the Hall of Fame’s Golden Days Era Committee last month. SABR Southern Michigan’s Dan D’Addona, Sports Editor of the Holland Sentinel, will speak about Kaat’s career.

Tentative Agenda:

11:00 – Video excerpt of Jim Kaat’s interview with SABR’s Pee Wee Reese chapter, and Q&A with Dan D’Addona
11:45 – Trivia & announcements
12:00 – Q&A with Gary Gillette about the 42-for-21 initiative advocating for more Negro League Hall of Famers
