SABR Southern Michigan is honored to be one of seven chapters selected by SABR to receive one of its inaugural Local Grants. For our grant, we will be producing a Southern Michigan Baseball Passport featuring must-see baseball history sites in southern Michigan. We envision this as a handy guidebook for hitting the road and learning about baseball history in your backyard and beyond.
We want to hear what sites you think we should consider. We will narrow down the list of submissions to select our top sites to feature in the book. In addition, we will consider all of your suggestions to be submitted to the new SABR Landmarks Committee. At this stage we would like to consider ALL types of historic sites, including: existing ballparks, sites of demolished ballparks, historical markers, gravestones, homes, museums, etc. Send us your ideas using this form.
