Mitch Lutzke was an award-winning radio reporter before beginning his second career as a high school history teacher and coach in Michigan. He is the author of The Page Fence Giants, published by McFarland in 2018 and winner of a Michigan Notable Book Award in 2019. In 2020 he was inducted into the Michigan Interscholastic Track Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He has had history-themed articles published in newspapers, magazines, web pages and with SABR.
